Moving into our first house

Hey guys I’m back!
As you may of noticed I’ve been slightly quiet on here for a while due to moving into my first home with Sean. Its absolutely perfect :-)
We were looking for a long time for the perfect house to move into and it takes a lot of work and a lot of searching. We knew we wanted a house rather than a flat, just due to personal space and privacy and we were fortunate enough to come across a 1 bedroom house in a lovely quiet area in our home town! I knew there would be a lot of work moving in, due to both living at home before we had nothing really apart from a bed, wardrobe and side tables. So once I had the call to say we got the house that night we were straight down Asda buying all the kitchen essentials, I can’t remember the last time I was so excited! Pizza cutters, saucepans, even choosing the mugs that we will have when people come round, it was just a new experience and we are having so much fun.
We have been very fortunate also as to having a lot of family around to help us out where needed so this has been a blessing :-)
Once we got the keys we went straight to the house to unload all of the bits that we had bought over the previous 2 weeks, this took 2 cars full on 2 trips back and forth! Within a few hours it was starting to look like home. The first night we went out for dinner with friends and when we came back we didn’t have the bed frame up so we slept on the mattress- thats what you do the you first move in, right? It was great.

Family and friends came round roughly everyday for the next 2 weeks to come and have a look and have a cup of tea- you start to question your tea making skills after a while, being the host can be hard work!
After 5 days of sitting on garden furniture in the living room due to the sofa being on order the sofa arrived and it was bliss! What did we do then you ask? Well due to the house not having an aerial signal which we was unaware of to begin with we couldn’t watch freeview tv on our cosy new sofa, and of course we had nothing else, sky was on order and coming in a week so we watched the boxset ‘Lost’ through the playstation. I’m completely drained on this programme its so intense and a lot to take in when your watching roughly 2-3 episodes a night, however I’ve managed to get to season 3 which is some kind of miracle where as this is Seans 5th time of watching the whole boxset, I honestly doesn’t know how he does it haha!
My relief was soon, due to the sky coming 9 days later, and the first thing I did was download this mornings Jeremy Kyle, my favourite show. (Makes me feel better about my own life)

So now everything is pretty much in place, just finalising bills, money and all the accounts. HOW MUCH IS COUNCIL TAX?! That is one thing you never even take into consideration when living at home, for a 1 bed house, its not far off the same price as a 3 bed house, jheeeeeze.

Anywho its so much more nicer to have our own space where we can just come and relax after work, and chill- I’m so excited to have my own kitchen to cook all our meals and especially my slimming world meals too. I will be on here more often now this moving lark has all settled!

Speak soon xo
